Middex is offering a new tool monitor WK10 which checks tool lengths going back into the magazine.
Advantages:
Absolute rotary encode. Angle resolution is 0.01°.
No home position required. No mechanical stop. Scanning range 360 degree.
Triple sealed, absolute coolant leak-proof.
Even with a test probe length of 600mm the WK10 is able to detect a difference of approximately 0.105mm (0.0041”).
The WK10 is communicating via ProfiBus or ProfiNet.
