2D/3D Laser Line/Profile Sensors

The scanCONTROL 2D/3D laser scanner (laser profile) scanner series project a line of light on the target surface which is reflected back to the sensor for measurement. The scanCONTROL laser scanner is a two-dimensional Z and X axis measurement scanner. When the target and sensor are moving in relation to each other, the third or Y axis, can be measured.

Numerous 2D/3D sensors are available; the correct choice depends on such application factors as resolution, distance to target, and analog or digital output needed:

Confocal-Chromatic Sensors

Polychromatic white light is focused on the target with a multi-lens optical system so that the white light is split into different color spectra from the monochromatic light.

A specific distance is assigned to each (color) wavelength. Only the wavelength which is focused on the target is used for exact measurement.

Unlike laser triangulation, the Confocal has a narrow beam that allows for inspection of small diameter cavities, gaps, or bores.

Color Measurement and LED Analyzers

Micro-Epsilon provides color measurement sensors to detect different color values and intensities on surfaces and self-luminous objects. Fiber color, fixed lens and LED analyzers are offered for various color measurement applications.

Color sensors with fiber optics

ColorCONTROL ACS7000, a high-speed photo spectrometer 

The color measurement system not only recognizes reference colors by comparison, but identifies individual colors clearly from their coordinates in the color space. With its high speed spectrometer, the colorCONTROL ACS7000 is suitable for applications where colors and shades have to be examined online with the highest accuracy:
